A copyright is the only way to ensure that you are legally recognized as the author and owner of your work. You do not have true copyright protection unless you copyright your book with the federal government. We can help copyright all types of books for you such as fiction, nonfiction, poetry, manuscripts, online works, and contributions to collective works; academic works like textbooks, dissertations, reference works, and theses; directories and compilations of data or other literary subject matter. We can copyright almost anything that you have written! ▪ For a work with only one author and the author is the only owner of the work, the cost of copyrighting a book or novel is $99 plus the government filing fee of $45. ▪ If there is more than one author or the author is different from the owner, the cost of copyrighting a book or novel $199 plus the government filing fee of $45. Note: You'll also have to send us 2 "best version" copies of your work, to be deposited with the government if your work is published. You only need to send one copy if your work is unpublished. We suggest sending an additional copy in order to allow Register My Copyright to present this as evidence should the need arise. All express mail charges are included. |
